Selected Papers From ECAP 2005 - European Computing and Philosophy Conference 2005

This special issue contains a selection of articles presented at the 2005 conference in Västerås. The other part of the material will appear in a book Dodig-Crnkovic G. We are very pleased to have been able to work in this dynamic area of Computing and Philosophy with such a distinguished group of people, each one of whom has provided us with some fresh way of framing some of the most significant problems of our time. This special issue is thus the result of the collective effort of a large number of people.
